Kristina Montuori, M.A., Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI)

Kristina Montuori earned her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida Gulf Coast University. She works with children, adolescents, and adult survivors of trauma.

Her experience with clients who have both survived and perpetrated violent and sexual crimes has given Kristina a deeper understanding of the human condition that allows her to genuinely care for and connect with people no matter what they have been through or what they have done.

Being a trauma survivor herself, Kristina has witnessed firsthand the healing power of therapy and is passionate about sharing its benefits.

To target the psychological and physical effects of trauma, Kristina implements a combination of evidence-based treatments and techniques, including but not limited to:

  • play therapy

  • expressive arts therapy

  • cognitive behavioral therapy

  • rhythmic entrainment

  • mindfulness-based bodywork

  • existential therapy

If you are willing to put the work in, Kristina is confident that your experience will instill a sense of peace and acceptance in the present, as well as a desire and excitement to live a life of meaning and purpose.
